Dad and I planned a fun day at the park. Earlier, we were confused between kite flying and cricket. But then we decided to play cricket. As per me, going to the park is always better than sitting in front of the computer screens.

We reached and started playing efficient cricket.

Dad and I made a park plan. Dad asked why going to the park, and I said it was good to be out than stuck in front of the computer. I was batting, and dad was on the balling end. We named it efficient cricket, as I was batting in the middle, and there were two people at two ends balling.

Then we tried double batting. Dad was throwing the ball, and the other person on the batting side was striking it and passing it on to me, and then I was hitting it with the bat.

Then a cute little kid joined us. I taught him to hold the bat and throw the ball. Dad said you are a good teacher. You taught him how to play cricket. Dad jokingly told me to become the captain of the Indian Cricket team. The little kiddo also showed his interest in becoming the coach. He was just 5 years old but sharp and adorable.

He noticed the moon in the sky and got excited. Later his mum came to take him back home, and he said thank you and said he would come back again the next day.

He had fun with us, we could tell. Then I continued playing with my brother, jumped on him, chased him, and hit him with the ball. He annoys me.

Dad said he was proud to see me let go of my game and get the little kid involved in the game. He continued; the kid took a little time but learned quickly because life’s answers are always hidden inside us. Everybody knows everything, but just somebody has to awaken them. So, you showed him the way, and he got it. In life, teachers and parents give you a little nudge little push to discover the truth you already know.

Then I showed dad some cartwheel skills, and he was amazed. In the end, my brother and I played a ball game.

It was a fun park day with dad, my brother, and the little kid. Share your park day stories and join us in our 365 days of fun.
