Picture this: my school’s about to restart, and we hadn’t done anything fun together for the entire summer vacation! I called for an emergency meeting during our breakfast. The only agenda—where would we go for a special family adventure? After brainstorming some locations, I thought, why not go to LA, the world’s entertainment capital? That’s when Dad, being the cool dad he is, decided to plan a last -minute road trip! So, here we are, bags and snacks packed, ready to make the most of what’s left of summer. Los Angeles, here we come!
The road trip itself was so much fun singing along to our favorite songs and munching on chips the entire way. Once we got to LA, it was like stepping into a movie! There was so much to do. We tried boba in all kinds of crazy flavors (I loved the matcha one), and one day, we even went whale watching! It was SO cool seeing those vast creatures up close. Afterward, we had this incredible Mexican feast. I don’t know if it was the salsa or the street tacos, but it was seriously the best meal ever.
I also got to spend a lot of time with my cousins, and we did everything from playing games, like charades, to watching the funniest movies. I can’t even remember the last time I laughed so hard! This trip made me feel so grateful for my family, and I honestly didn’t want it to end.
But don’t worry, the adventure doesn’t stop here! We’re heading to Solvang and Pismo next. Stay tuned for more fun on Diary with Dad!
