My birthday was just around the corner, and my amazing dad decided to take me shoe shopping! But here’s the coolest part – he was all dressed in Indian clothes, like full-on South Indian style.
We started our shoe expedition by figuring out my size – it’s a fancy 2.5-3.0! Then, the real fun began as we explored different shoe brands. Dad was so sweet; he called me the “birthday princess” and had me try on all the shoes I liked. It was like my own little fashion show!
I was eyeing those awesome Adidas shoes, and guess what? Dad made sure I got to wear them! He even gave me some walking tips, like “Walk nicely, don’t run.” But, you know me, I couldn’t resist running around the whole store! We also checked out some cool Asics shoes, and that’s when Dad shared a special story from his childhood.
He told me about the time he bought $10 shoes from Payless when he was a kid. It was like a blast from the past! I loved the Asics shoes the most, and Dad said they were a “lifetime gift” that would help me run through life with a positive attitude. How cool is that?
On the eve of my birthday, Dad surprised me with the Asics shoes, and they were a gift from my amazing mom and brother.
