My Christmas celebration started with the whole family gathering, together at Grandma’s house. I love Christmas because it means all my cousins are in one place, and we get to spend the day playing and having so much fun. There’s laughter and joy all around, and it feels like magic is in the air!
The day started with something very important. Before we did anything else, my family and I sat together in our living room. We held hands, closed our eyes, and said a little prayer to thank God for giving us such a wonderful time together. I always feel warm and fuzzy inside when we do that.
The best part was having all my family and cousins over. We were like a big, happy tribe ready to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. Laughter echoed through the house as my aunts and uncles bustled around the kitchen, preparing the most delicious Christmas feast. I even saw my mom making her famous cookies – they’re the best!
Then came the best part – opening our stockings! You won’t believe the cool stuff we found inside. My dad got a suave body wash, and when he saw it, he laughed and said, “Well, I work so hard all day; maybe I do need this!” We all burst into giggles. It’s funny how dads can be silly sometimes.
But the highlight of the day was when my cousin sister, Viru Didi, surprised us all with her baking skills. She surprised us with the most delicious monkey bread. It was warm, gooey, and filled with cinnamon goodness. I couldn’t help but sneak a few extra bites when no one was looking. It was so yummy!
After our bellies were full of delicious food, it was time for the best part – presents! I love opening presents; it’s like Christmas magic unfolding right in front of my eyes.
First, Viru Didi had a special surprise for me. She handed me a pretty gift bag, and inside was a T-shirt with Princess Tiana on it! I love Princess Tiana; she’s so brave and kind. Now, I have a T-shirt with her on it, and I’m going to wear it all the time!
Then, it was my dad’s turn. He handed me a mysterious-looking box with lots of little pieces. I opened it and found a puzzle box! It looked tricky, but Dad promised to help me assemble it. I was so excited to have a new puzzle to solve.
Grandma handed me a beautifully wrapped box. I unwrapped it, and inside was the most pretty dress I had ever seen! It was shiny and sparkly, just perfect for New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t wait to twirl around in it and show everyone.
Last but not least, my cousin brother, Aarav, gave me something super cool – a big container of slime! It was all squishy and colorful, and I knew I would have so much fun playing with it. I could feel the slime slipping through my fingers already.
The day was filled with laughter, games, and so much love. I felt so grateful to have such an amazing family and wonderful cousins. Christmas is truly the most magical time of the year, and I can’t wait to see what adventures the new year brings.
