It was basketball day with dad in the park. Dad and I decided to take turns and play some shots. While dad cheated, I tried to play it safe and ultimately cheated. #Guilty. It’s always so much fun spending time with dad.

We made the game a little more challenging by trying to hit from more distance. Dad introduced a new rule, as per which we could try until we scored. I liked the new rule.

Our goal was to burn some calories before dinner to make space for our favourite – Chhole Bhature.

I was losing concentration. So, dad advised me I should dribble before throwing the ball. I took his advice and tried again with more focus, and voila got the shot. Dad said it was all about concentration, and we forget to concentrate in the rush of life.

Dad said I should slow down when I go too fast in life; life takes over. He further continued, rushing gets you nowhere in life. Slow down, focus on your dribbles, concentrate on the ball, and see only the basketball hoop: no sky, no birds, no trees, no cars.

We also did a little swinging. I sang the nursery rhyme – Row Row Row Your Boat, Gently Down the Street. Dad said we keep deciding to go home and play some more games. My brother and I had a racing contest, and while I was riding on the scooter, he was running to compete with me. My brother won, and I lost. He was fast.

Finally, it was time to go home after burning those calories.
