It was a Saturday. And on Saturdays, I go dancing. I got ready for my dance class in Indian attire and joined my friends as we practiced Garba – a Gujrati traditional dance form.
We had a great practice session. Dad had planned a surprise for me. When I asked him about the surprise, he said, ‘where the car takes us’. He took me to my favorite place Yogurtland.
He said it was my reward for doing a great job at my dance class. I got my favorite flavors, Strawberry & Pineapple. Dad had a secret bag in which he got all the toppings. I paid the bill and dad said, big lady’s got the bills. We got more yogurt for the same price as we saved on toppings. It was dad’s idea. Popping boober, mochis, jellies, strawberries – he had it all,
We packed the yogurt and decided to have it together with the family. We played traditional Indian music on our way back home.
My brother got all happy and even hugged my dad, which was a little too dramatic – but so much fun.
