Hi! I’m Keyaa! Day 3 from our Kutch trip is one of my favorites ever. There were magical sunrises, ancient cities, crazy roads, and even a wild-fuel story you won’t believe!

We started our day really early, like 5:30 AM, and reached Zero Point, the northernmost tip of the Rann of Kutch. Waking up this early was totally worth it! The white desert turned into gold as the sun came up. It felt like we were standing on another planet!

Next, we drove on this dreamy stretch called the Road to Heaven. At first, I thought Dad was just being funny, but the road actually looks like it’s going straight into the sky! Salt marshes on both sides made it feel like a magical land.

At the end of the magical Road to Heaven lies an ancient city of the great Indus civilization! We explored Dholavira, a 5,000-year-old city. I wasn’t sure how fun an archaeological site could be, but it blew my mind! The people who lived there had big water tanks, an innovative drainage system, and even a secret script no one can read to this day. It felt like a real-life treasure hunt.

Later, we hiked up to Kala Parvat. On the way, we stopped at a quiet little temple. The view from the top was amazing—we saw lakes, army camps, and even the border of India! Oh, and we had the yummiest bhelpuri at a tiny food stall there.

Just when I thought the day couldn’t get crazier, our car ran low on fuel. The petrol pump had a super long line. So, guess what? Someone handed us a bucket of diesel and a funnel—and it worked!

Kutch is a wonderful place full of surprises and interesting stories. It has beautiful landscapes, like the large salt desert, and a variety of cultural traditions and lively festivals like the Rann Utsav. The skill of the local artisans and the friendliness of the people make visiting Kutch a memorable experience that you definitely shouldn’t miss!
